During this discovery dive on the island of Santa Maria, you'll learn about diving equipment, basic safety rules and discover the sensation of breathing underwater. The baptism will be preceded by an online theory session that will allow you to learn the basics of scuba diving at your own pace.

Your instructor will then give you another briefing at the dive centre, help you get kitted out, and when you're ready, you'll leave by boat to dive in the Atlantic, always accompanied by your professional and experienced instructor. Your first dive will last around 25 minutes and will take you to a depth of between 6 and 12 metres. The instructor will be in the water with you throughout to guide you through this new experience.
