As one of the very few centres in Bora Bora trusted by the Environment Department year after year for whale encounters, Bora Ocean Adventures is the organisation to join if you wish to watch and snorkel with whales in Bora Bora. With a team of passionate instructors specialising in cetaceans, the centre warmly welcomes you to Vaitape to take you out to sea to meet the whales during the season from July to November, aboard a boat limited to a maximum of 10 passengers to ensure your comfort, whilst respecting the whales’ wellbeing and their habitat.
This whale-watching trip in Bora Bora will begin with a search for the whales: you can usually spot them thanks to their blow, which is visible from several kilometres away! On the way, you’ll hear the guide’s explanations about the whales, and you might even be lucky enough to spot dolphins playing as they follow your boat. Then, once the whales have been spotted, there will be an observation period to assess whether all the conditions are right for a dive: not only the sea conditions, but also the whales’ behaviour will determine whether you’ll be able to dive!
If the instructor deems it safe to do so, you’ll have the pleasure of snorkelling with the whales, with him by your side to ensure your safety. To preserve the animals’ peace and quiet, a maximum of six people are allowed in the water at any one time. All you’ll need to do is let the magic happen and make the most of this memorable moment that very few people are lucky enough to experience! All snorkelling equipment is provided, as well as towels, raincoats and short wetsuits, available on request. You’ll then return on board the boat to reflect on this exceptional experience with your loved ones and the instructor on the way back to the centre, whilst enjoying a light refreshment of water, tea, fruit juice and biscuits.
Don’t wait any longer to experience a dream come true in French Polynesia – book your whale-watching and snorkelling excursion in Bora Bora today!
