The guide will provide the all-terrain vehicle, as well as overalls, a helmet, and a balaclava. The quad bike trip on Sólheimasandur continues to the famous DC-3 plane wreck, the remains of a US Navy aircraft that crashed-landed on the beach in 1973. You can capture some photos of this iconic site, before driving to Dyrhólaey, a nearby promontory with stunning views of the Icelandic coastline and its black sand beaches. Then, you'll travel back to the base camp, before embarking on the return bus ride to Reykjavík. On the drive, you'll make quick pitstops at Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, two magnificent waterfalls that you can walk behind! Activity requirements

Quad drivers must be at least 17 years old and hold a valid car driver's license. Please bring the physical copy with you on the day of the activity.

Children or those without a licence will ride on the vehicle as a passenger.

Special terms

For this tour, you can choose to share the quad between two participants, with one driver and one participant and the chance to switch during the excursion, or drive as a single rider (mandatory for groups with odd numbers).
