Please allow 5 to 6 hours for this activity.
- Arrive at the starting point at Fonna Glacier Ski Resort.
- Meet your experienced guide and receive equipment (mountain boots, crampons, ice axe, harness, helmet, and rope).
- Get a safety briefing and detailed instructions for the excursion.
- Begin the glacier hike, covering approximately 5 to 6 km in total walking distance with an elevation gain of 300–400 meters.
- Pause for a lunch break while enjoying a panoramic view of the North Sea and the Rosendal Alps.
- Learn from your glacier guide about local culture, physical geography, climate, and more.
- Hike back to the starting point at Fonna Glacier Ski Resort.
Activity requirements
All participants must be in good health condition.
Children must have authorised permission from an adult.

Pick-up from Jondal is included for an additional 40 NOK. Please contact the instructor directly to arrange after booking.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own mountain boots. If needed, we also provide boots in EUR sizes 33 to 48.
