Jump on a Monster Downhill Scooter and freewheel from Table Mountain into the City Below! Scootours offer a unique way to experience Cape Town’s Table Mountain and it’s breathtaking views in a fun and active way.
First, a fun 4x4 ride to the top of the hill to join the beginning of the track. This 5 km track will take you on an adventurous off-road track down the side of Signal Hill into Bo Kaap. The experience continues as you are transported to Table Mountain for your final run down a single track off this world-famous landmark!
The scooters are non-motorised making this activity eco-friendly. The scooters are propelled by gravity, which is why you'll be given a lift to the top of the runs.
These Swiss designed, non-motorised push bikes are used in the Alps during the summer season on the ski slopes when the snow is gone.

Practical information
Scootours offer a unique and fun way to experience Table Mountain and Signal Hill with breath taking views of Cape Town from different angles.
On this 1.5 - 2 hour adventure you will enjoy 2 free wheel runs. The 1st free wheel run will take you down Signal Hill into Bo Kaap and the 2nd one down the lower slopes of Table Mountain into Oranjezicht at the foot of Table Mountain.
All drivers must be aged 10 years and overs and passengers must be aged 4 and over.
Who can participate?
Anyone who can ride a bicycle. The scooters are stable and you control the speed. Children 9 years and under can double up with mom or dad.
