Live the musher life on this overnight dogsledding adventure in the wilderness of Dalarna. Learn to drive your own pack of Siberian huskies, and stay in a remote and cozy cabin in the middle of the snow.

Built in 1865, the cottage remains traditional: during your stay, you will have to fetch your own water, collect firewood, and cook with ingredients from a local farm. This outing promises the perfect escape from your usual every day, accompanied by your new furry friends, who will give you a good workout in the snow.

When you arrive at the kennels, you will meet the dogs and the guide will show you the basics you need to know to steer your sled. Then, led by the guide, you will set off into the snow and embark on your first dogsledding journey. You will learn to drive your own pack of Siberian huskies through the snow, across frozen lakes, ancient forests, up hills, and across bogs.

Enjoy the thrill of this fast-paced journey around the backcountry and the moments of tranquility you will share as you take a breath at stunning viewpoints. On the way, you will stop for lunch around a warm fire. Refuel with a delicious Swedish Kolbulle (a pancake served with pork and lingonberry jam) and some hot coffee, before heading back out, in the direction of your cottage.

You will then stay overnight in the cottage, prepare some delicious meals, and heat the home yourselves with the help of the guide. On the menu will likely be some hot potatoes, rice, and vegetables. This intimate experience with the Swedish wilderness will allow you a rare chance to disconnect and relax after your workout with the dogs. Even the toilets are outside, so get ready for a real rustic experience.

The next morning, you will head back onto the snow after a breakfast of bread and coffee. You will set off and discover new routes and sites before heading back to Enviken once again.
