Following the experienced guide, you will set off on an easy trail up the Kurravaara mountain in the region. While snowshoeing in Kiruna, you'll walk over the glistening white snow beneath the light from the stars and moon and discover Sweden's most distinct wilderness. Once you've reached the top of the mountain, you'll enjoy a break with some hot tea or coffee and sandwiches while you take in the stunning views of the Torne River valley below. You might even spot some of the native wildlife or their tracks, such as moose, reindeer, foxes, and hares. While you continue to admire the Northern Lights, the guide will share stories about the natural phenomenon and insights about the history of this Arctic location. After the break, you will snowshoe back to Kiruna through the peaceful forest.
