Beginner Windsurfing Lessons in Stockholm

Join a beginner windsurfing lesson in Stockholm, mastering the techniques of this exciting water sport in a scenic location! Welcoming adventurers from ages 12 and up.

Stockholm is the capital city of Sweden, located along the southeast coast of the country, beside the Baltic Sea. Stockholm is known for its beautiful coastline, numerous lakes, and archipelagos, making it an ideal destination for water sports enthusiasts. The summer months provide consistent winds, with breezes ranging from light to moderate, perfect for beginner windsurfing!

For this activity, you have the option of a 6-hour windsurfing course, or a 1 or 2-day windsurfing lesson. For all options, you will meet at the starting point in Stockholm. A certified instructor will go through a safety briefing and instructions. You’ll be provided with high-quality gear; windsurfing equipment (board, sail and harnesses), a wet suit and a personal flotation device (PFD). The board will be suited to the size of the rider and the weather conditions. Then, the lesson will begin!

The guide will begin with some windsurfing and sailing theory, as well as the important safety guidelines. Then, you’ll head out onto the water with the windsurfing equipment. On the beginner course, you’ll take a break for lunch in the middle of the session before continuing in the afternoon. The instructor will show you how to sail and how to balance on the board. Feel the thrill of riding the wind while admiring Stockholm’s stunning natural landscapes!

If you’d like to take part in a 2-day course, you need to book both the Day 1 and the Day 2 options. After becoming comfortable with your balance on the first day, the instructor will take you to a spot with stronger winds and bigger waves on the second day. As you master the techniques, challenge yourself on a more exhilarating adventure! At the end of your lesson, you’ll return to the starting point in Stockholm.
