Practical information
For this excursion, you will be picked up from the meeting point in Tromsø and driven to the Lygen Alps for an exciting snowmobile safari.

- Board the bus to Breivikeidet
- Board the ferry to Svensby
- Meet the guide
- Minibus drive to the base in the Lygen Alps
- Receive snowmobiling equipment
- Safety briefing and driving instructions
- The snowmobiling adventure begins!
- Drive through the wilderness
- Return to the base
- Enjoy lunch, hot drinks and snacks around a campfire
- Return journey to the original starting point in Tromsø
Snowmobile drivers must hold a valid car driving license. Please bring the physical copy with you on the day of the activity.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and they must be able to hold on to the snowmobile as a passenger unassisted.
Each snowmobile will be shared between two, with one driver and one passenger and the chance to switch during the tour.
Please note that snowmobiles will be shared even if you book for one person.
Pick-up will be from the Prosteneset Bus and Boat Terminal in Tromsø. Please look for the Arctic Route Bus, marked Lyngen 917.
