What are the activities to do in Paris?
Welcome to the city of romance and haute couture!
Paris is known around the globe for its elegant gastronomical cuisine, latest fashions and majestic architecture. However there is another up and coming facet of Paris that’s little known, and that’s extreme sports!
You can now add a dose of daring to your romantic weekend break and what better way to explore the Parisian region than from above. Paragliding and skydiving are activities that have become very accessible to absolutely everyone. For those of you who don’t want to spend hours training and practicing, why not opt for a tandem flight?
Less than 2 hours away you have the drop zone of Péronne located north of Paris and located south of Paris you have the drop zone of Nevers, a mere 2.5 hours away from the spectacular French capital.
Nothing can beat the thrill of flying in the air and getting a bird’s eye view of the scenery, flora and impressive architecture.
If you don't feel like flying, you can manage to find riding events such as skateboarding or longboarding in the streets of Butte Montmartre or Buttes Chaumont.
However, if you really want to experience sport activities in Paris, you can go a mere few kilometers away from the city center and try wakeboarding on the lakes in Choisy or slalom kayaking in the watersports center of Cergy, which hosts the French Slalom Championship every year.
Water lovers can also go diving and get PADI certified in the 20m deep swimming pool of Saint-Denis.
It might get tedious to list all the activities you can practice in this historical city. But come take a look by yourself, it is all part of the trip to Paris and its 100 mysteries!
