Leave the hustle and bustle of Montreal behind and go for a hike on the National Trail and a canoe trip down the river at Saint-Côme!

Enjoy a day full of adventure on this canoe trip with Canot Volant and Bonjour Nature, departing from Montreal. Let yourself be seduced by Quebec nature during a hike on the Sentier National and a canoe trip down the Assomption in Saint-Côme, in the Matawinie region of Lanaudière, just an hour and a half from Montreal!

Our partner's canoe-trekking day offers you a unique experience departing from Montreal. Start your day with a hike on the Sentier National, a legendary 1,650 km hiking trail that runs through nine regions of Quebec. During this day of hiking and canoeing from Montreal, you'll have the chance to explore the magnificent Swaggin Falls area during a 5 km hike on the National Trail. Hike through some of the most beautiful natural environments on the National Trail and discover wild nature and diverse landscapes! This beginner-intermediate hike will take you into the heart of the mixed forest, along the Swaggin River to the Rivière l'Assomption. You'll be captivated by the impressive waterfalls and cascades that dot the landscape.

Once you've completed the land section, continue with a 6-kilometre canoe trip down the Rivière l'Assomption. The source of this river is Lac de l'Assomption in Mont-Tremblant National Park. This canoe trip down the Assomption is a mix of easy white water and calm waters, ideal for an introduction to river canoeing suitable for the whole family. As the river gently flows by, you'll be surrounded by picturesque cottages and majestic mountains in a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere.

Your day of canoeing and hiking is organised to ensure you have a pleasant canoeing and hiking getaway in Saint-Côme, in the heart of nature in the Matawinie region. A refreshing stop at the Tré Carré microbrewery is also planned on the way back!

So don't wait any longer, book your nature getaway from Montreal and set off on a hike along the National Trail followed by a canoe trip down the Assomption!
