Guided Excursion to Grosse-Île departing from Quebec City

Please allow around 10 hours on site for the whole experience.

• Arrive at Quai Chouinard in the historic centre of Quebec City (15 minutes).
• Depart by bus for the Chaudière-Appalaches region (1 hour).
• Arrive in Berthier-sur-Mer and complete individual check-in at the ticket office (30 minutes).
• Board the Vent des Îles (15 minutes).
• Enjoy a 45-minute cruise on the St. Lawrence River with historical commentary from the Lachance captains.
• Disembark for a guided visit of the Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site with Parks Canada guides and costumed re-enactors (4 hours 30 minutes to 5 hours).
• Reboard the vessel and return cruise to Berthier-sur-Mer marina (45 minutes).
• Return by bus from Berthier-sur-Mer (1 hour 15 minutes).
• The activity begins and ends at the ticket office on Quai Chouinard in Quebec City.

Please arrive about 30 minutes before the departure time.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This activity is not accessible to wheelchair users.

Pets are not permitted to take part in this activity.

Don’t forget to bring a packed lunch. There are no restaurants on the island.

Cruises take place whatever the weather, unless weather conditions pose a risk to passenger safety. The boat has a covered area in case of bad weather.

Please note that the temperature out on the water may be cooler than on land; we therefore recommend that you dress accordingly.
