Course of events
- Meeting with the guide at the National Park Visitor Centre and presentation of ski touring equipment (30 minutes)
- Toilets available at the Discovery Centre before departure
- Technical training and first test of your skis (20 minutes)
- Start of the day's off-piste ski touring, alternating between ascents and descents (4 hours' touring in total, with regular breaks)
- Lunch break: sandwich, vegetable and hot drink (30 minutes)
- Return to the national park reception area via a flat path along the river
- Toilets available at the Discovery Centre
- De-equipping and end of activity
Activity requirements
A good level of skiing (comfortable on red runs and/or black runs) is required to take part in this activity.
Special terms
Shuttle transfers from Quebec City are not provided: if you need a transfer from Quebec City to the national park, please contact the guide directly once your booking has been confirmed to arrange the transfer.
Quatre Natures believes that there is no such thing as bad weather in winter. The activity always takes place. In the event of a situation where the temperature is extreme (-45 C⁰) or the amount of snow is not adequate, the Quatre Natures team will contact you directly.
To ensure the safety and quality of the experience, a minimum of 1 metre of snow on the ground is required. In the event of insufficient snow cover or unfavourable conditions, the activity may be moved to another area, and participants will be notified a few days in advance.
If you need winter clothing, you can rent it directly from the Quatre Natures website.
