Rental of an ice fishing hut on the Saguenay Fjord in Saint-Fulgence for the day.
- 6x10 foot hut heated between 18 and 25°C, with a 5-seat bench (folding tables stored in the bench)
- Includes 2 fishing rods and 4 holes drilled per hut
- Maximum of 5 catches per person permitted
Course of events
Please allow up to 9 hours for the whole experience.
- Check-in at the park reception from 8 a.m. to collect the keys to your cabin and your ice fishing equipment (free parking, more bait available for purchase and additional rods and lures for rent on site, at an additional cost)
- 10-minute approach walk to your ice fishing hut on the Saguenay Fjord
- Start of your day of ice fishing: 4 pre-drilled holes are available / it is important to put each of your catches outside the cabin as soon as it comes out of the water (the fish must freeze to remain fit to eat)
- Leave the hut before 5 p.m.: you must turn off the heating when you leave, lock the door and return the key to the designated place
- Return to the park reception and end of the activity
Activity requirements
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
You mustn't be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Special terms
It is forbidden to smoke or vape inside the cabins.
The activity is accessible to people with reduced mobility, provided they have the appropriate equipment to access the hut safely.
Dry toilets are available at the exit of the ice huts.
Dogs are not allowed inside the huts.
You may bring your own fishing equipment with you.

It is on the ice covering the Saguenay fjord in the heart of winter that you can rent a fishing hut in Saint-Fulgence, less than 30 minutes' drive from Saguenay. During the day, you will have 4 holes drilled in the ice (in the hut, but it is possible to request holes drilled outside) to discover the pleasures of ice fishing in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. It is a popular winter activity in Quebec, so it would be a shame to miss out during your stay, especially since it is accessible to everyone!
When you arrive, you will receive all the equipment you need for ice fishing on the Saguenay Fjord (2 fishing rods, 2 sets of groundfish lures, plus a small caplan bag and bait), so all you have to do is try your hand at this winter pastime while enjoying the region's sublime surroundings. You will be entitled to a total of 5 catches per person (including caplan, redfish, cod, turbot and 'unicode' eel), which you will need to leave to freeze outside your cabin so that they remain safe to eat. With room for up to 4 anglers, your propane-heated hut (between 18 and 25°C) will protect you from the cold outside during your breaks in the day.
