A winter via ferrata course on the banks of the Saguenay Fjord with a continuous lifeline, accompanied by a guide for around 2 hours (duration varies according to your pace).
- An 800-metre course divided into 3 sections, the first 2 of which are easy and the last of which is intermediate, with the option to stop between sections if you do not wish to continue
- Includes several fun obstacles (monkey bridges, beams, a ladder, etc.) between 23 and 30 metres above the fjord, depending on the tides
- Views of the fjord entrance and the ice fishing village throughout the course, as well as from the viewpoint between 2 sections
Course of events
Please allow up to 3 hours for the whole experience.
- Meeting with an instructor at the park reception 30 minutes before the start of the activity (10 minutes if you are already on site, free parking and toilets available)
- Distribution of equipment and 10-minute walk to the start of the via ferrata
- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions
- Departure for approximately 2 hours of winter via ferrata on the banks of the Saguenay Fjord
- End of the course, return to the park reception (10-minute walk) to return the equipment and end of the activity
Activity requirements
Minimum weight: 90 lbs (41 kg) / Maximum weight: 240 lbs (109 kg) with a maximum waist circumference of 117 cm (46 inches)
Minimum height: 150 cm, arms raised
Please arrive 30 minutes before the start of the activity (10 minutes if you are already on site).
Minors under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Minors aged 17 and over must present a parental authorisation to take part in the activity independently.
Being in good physical condition is required to take part in this activity.
You mustn't be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Special terms
This activity is not recommended to pregnant people.
Anyone not complying with the weight limits will be weighed at reception and refused if necessary.
Accompanying persons who are not participating in the activity may wait in the reception pavilion.
