Practical information
Training about 3 hours which includes a short theory course and 1 dive with simple exercises and discovery lasting 40 to 50 minutes.
Your Basic Diver certification card will represent the first, no-obligation step in your training, with the possibility of completing your Open Water Diver course within 6 months of your certification (this will be recognised as one of the compulsory dives).
Course of events
- Welcome at the dive centre and administrative formalities
- Theoretical course on scuba diving
- Preparation of diving equipment, then boarding of the boat
- Sail for 5 to 10 minutes to the chosen dive site, depending on the day's weather conditions
- Launch for 40 to 50 minutes
- Return to the dive centre and debriefing to receive your SSI Basic Diver card
Objectives
Try Scuba Diving is the first stage of your Open Water training. If you complete your training within six months of your Try Scuba certification, this will be considered one of the compulsory dives and you will not have to repeat it.
Activity requirements
Knowing how to swim is compulsory for this activity.
A written parental authorisation is required for minors to take part in this activity.
Special terms
Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.

If you want to discover scuba diving at Cap Corse in more depth than a simple first dive, the half-day Basic Diver course is the perfect activity! Comprising a quick theory course and 1 scuba dive, the SSI Basic Diver course lasts 3 hours and leads to a certificate that allows you to take the Open Water Diver course within 6 months.
Under the guidance of qualified diving instructors, you will start the Basic Diver course in Sisco with a short theory lesson at the center, then go straight into action with 1 dive along Cap Corse (simple exercises lasting 5-10 minutes, followed by a 30-40 minutes dive). You will discover the first sensations of scuba diving during nearly 40 minutes underwater, while admiring the rich and diverse underwater fauna and flora!
