Guided hiking tours in Hvar's backcountry

The island of Hvar in Croatia has so much to offer to its visitors and there is no better way to so than by discovering its hidden gems on foot!

You can opt for two different hiking tours that will make you feel like a local and will show you different sides of Hvar's rich culture and history.

The first one is a Lavender Tour, on which you will discover the beautiful nature of the island and you will learn everything about Hvar's aromatic and healing herbs and most importantly Lavender - an herb that quickly became a big revenue source for the locals (the cultivation began in 1930 and by 1974 Hvar became the eight biggest lavender producer in the world!)

If you are up for a more historically oriented journey, you can choose the Napoleon tour. You will see his fort built in 1812 during his rule in Croatia that ended one year later in 1813 after his defeat by the Russian army. The fort lies on top of a 230-meter hill and is now the home of the Hvar Observatory devoted to research in astrophysics.
