The city has so many faces. Founded in 129. B.C. as a Roman settlement, Poreč (lat. Parentium) has come a long way. A picturesque town, whose identity was shaped through thousands of years. After the fall of Rome, Poreč came under the rule of numerous kingdoms and empires. Venetian, Austrian, Italian, Yugoslavian, and many other administrations defined the city’s urban identity.

Given the city’s long history, a visit to the old town is a no-brainer, due to its numerous historical sites. In particular, the 6th century Euphrasian Basilica is a perfect example of that, as it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. You should visit Poreč while in Istria, Croatia. But doing it from a sea kayak makes it an unforgettable experience.

We had a very fun evening activity thanks to Ilija. Me and my girlfriend had never been kayaking with each other before and it was surprisingly easy and we enjoyed it very much. The pictures that Ilija made of us under a beautiful sunset were a nice bonus. Together with some drinks and snacks during our break and at the end made this a perfect activity to do together as a couple. Definitely recommend it!

La balade à Kayak autour de Porec est plaisante et permet de découvrir la ville via un autre angle. On s'arrête sur une petite plage le temps de boire un verre et reprendre des forces avant d'aller observer un magnifique coucher de soleil depuis le kayak avec en prime des souvenirs photos fournis sur un lien google ! C'était une super expérience qui se clôture par un verre avec tous les participants dans un bar de plage underground. J'aurais peut-être aimé quelques infos en plus sur la ville et les paysages que l'on observe.
