Practical information
Course of events
- Meeting point at Les Gorges du Chassezac, 48800 Pied-de-Borne.
- Equipment set up by your instructor.
- Approach walk to the canyon of 1 hour with 330 meters of difference in altitude.
- Briefing by your instructor to make you aware of the basic rules of canyoning.
- Water and pedestrian hikes, numerous small and large jumps, for a duration of 4 hours.
- Walk back to the meeting point of 5 minutes.
Activity requirements
It is imperative to be able to swim and to be in good physical condition to do this activity.
However, no previous canyoning experience is required to participate.
Special terms
This activity is weather dependent: if the activity cannot take place because of the weather, you will be offered another date or a refund.

The maximum weight for the wetsuits is 120 kg.

Practical information
Go on an adventure by exploring the Roujanel canyon in Prévenchères between the Ardèche and the Cévennes with Les Intraterrestres!
Characteristic of the canyons dug in the schist, the Roujanel canyon is located between the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park and the Cevennes. Starting in a tight but shallow gorge, the pools are clear and limpid, a real treat for the eyes! Many jumps, small and big, and some swimming passages will lead you to the second part, more open.
After an hour's walk to get there, and a briefing from your state-certified canyoning instructor on equipment and safety rules, discover a magnificent wild river that is not very popular! No experience in canyoning is required to participate, but a good physical condition is necessary to fully enjoy the activity that will keep you busy for the day.
Whether you are in Lozere or in Ardeche, don't hesitate to let yourself be tempted by the descent of the Roujanel canyon near Villefort!
