Practical information
Course of events
- Rendezvous on the side of the Departmental 906 Prévenchères, 48800 (see map of meeting place below).
- Equipment set up by your instructor.
- Approach walk to the canyon of 20 minutes.
- Briefing by your instructor to make you aware of the basic rules of canyoning.
- Succession of aquatic and pedestrian hikes, abseils, jumps (not compulsory), slides and descents.
- Walk back to the meeting point of 30 minutes.
Activity requirements
It is imperative to be able to swim and to be in good physical condition to do this activity.
Special terms
The activity is subject to the weather and can be cancelled by the instructor in case of risk.
We would like to inform you that none of the jumps on the course are mandatory.

Having dug its way through a schist gorge, the Haut Roujanel canyon offers a very different environment from the canyons that are geographically close. At the border between Ardeche and Lozere, discover a magnificent wild river little frequented!
The canyon of Haut Roujanel is divided in two parts. The first one is very narrow and goes through a shale gorge where the water is fresh and crystal clear. The second part is more open with beautiful basins and offers multiple jumps from 2 to 8 meters! Accompanied by a state-qualified instructor, enjoy, during half a day, a wild and aquatic canyon.
