Practical information
Course of events
- Rendezvous on the side of the Departmental 906 Prévenchères, 48800 (see map of meeting place below).
- Equipment set up by your instructor.
- Approach walk to the canyon of 15 minutes.
- Briefing by your instructor to make you aware of the basic rules of canyoning.
- Succession of aquatic and pedestrian hikes, abseils (22 metres max.), jumps (not compulsory), slides and descents.
- Walk back to the meeting point of 45 minutes.
Activity requirements
It is imperative to be able to swim and to be in good physical condition to do this activity.
Special terms
The activity is subject to the weather and can be cancelled by the instructor in case of risk.
We would like to inform you that none of the jumps on the course are mandatory.

Located near the medieval village of La Garde Guérin, the Haut Chassezac canyon is one of the most beautiful canyons in France! During your descent of the canyon, discover a magnificent valley of the Cevennes and admire the impressive granite gorges eroded by the Chassezac river.
Intended for sportsmen, the Haut Chassezac canyon offers a rather technical course. Fun and aquatic, it gathers all the ingredients of canyoning: walking, jumping, swimming, abseiling (22 metres max.), passage in opposition and slides. The highlight of the show is a 9-meter jump that ends the descent! Accompanied by a state-qualified instructor, enjoy a full day in a very varied canyon, ideal for thrill seekers!
