Full of challenges, the canyon of the Gorges du Tapoul is accessible from the age of 12. This pearl of the Cevennes is a very varied and playful canyoning course which offers its share of sensations: kids and adults alike will love this canyon!

After a 5 minutes walk, the Tapoul canyon starts with an easy abseiling in blocks before arriving at a first jump. This is an opportunity to learn the basics of canyon jumping techniques: impulsion, precision and cushioning. The height of the jumps and abseils (from 2 m to 10 m) and their technical difficulty are progressive.

You will then swim for a short time until you reach a descending handrail, the start of a slide along the rock and ending in the water. A second jump of about 2 meters will allow you to reach a beautiful swimming area which ends on an aquatic handrail. The Tapoul canyon narrows as you go along, and after a short progression in the water comes the most technical part of the descent: two jumps of about three meters, then a sequence of rope techniques (ejectable abseiling, aerial handrail) and jumps of 7 and 10 meters in length (optional).

A 25 meters long zip line closes this technical passage of the canyon of the Tapoul Gorges with a very wet arrival! After a short abseiling and a slide on a small slide, you will arrive at the passage known as "la Serrure", a recess where you can choose between a technical jump or a slide along the rock, last obstacles before the final basin where you can enjoy a last swim after having removed your equipment.

Once the Tapoul canyon is finished, you will start a 10 minutes walk back, while still enjoying the nature of the Cevennes National Park which will have offered you a very refreshing canyoning experience!
