Located at the foot of Mont Aigoual, the canyon of Tapoul is a must do in Lozère because it has all the aspects of canyoning!
From Sainte-Enimie, you are transported by minibus to the village of Rousses and enter the Cévennes National Park. Once in the village, your instructor gives you your equipment (wetsuit and neoprene socks, helmet and harness). To shorten the approach walk, a shuttle takes you to the beginning of the descent. You end up equipping yourself at the edge of the water and then your canyoning instructor gives you the safety instructions related to the activity.
The canyon of the Gorges du Tapoul is made up of a series of waterfalls, jumps, abseiling, toboggans and zip-line in cool and clear water. You will cross these obstacles in a natural Aqualand in the heart of nature! The descent is quite sporty but is suitable for beginners having a good physical shape.
Arriving at the main road, a shuttle awaits you to take you back to the car park of the canyon where you can restore before returning to Sainte-Enimie.
