About the activity
Designed for adventurers seeking a real sporting challenge, this full descent of the Ecouges Canyon invites you to spend an entire day in the unspoilt natural surroundings of the Vercors. Accompanied by a professional instructor who will guide you throughout the experience and ensure your safety, you’ll be able to fully enjoy the canyon’s abseils, jumps, and natural slides.
The exploration of the canyon takes place in two stages. The descent of the upper section lasts around 4 to 5 hours and is the most technical and demanding part. The programme includes 13 abseils, culminating in an impressive 60-metre vertical drop to finish in style. This spectacular section offers not only beautifully sculpted limestone formations but also breathtaking views over the valley.
You will then enjoy a well-earned picnic before continuing with the descent of the lower section of the canyon, which lasts around 2 to 3 hours. More playful in nature, this part features numerous slides, jumps, water-assisted abseils, and a final 25-metre abseil.
Ideally located just 45 minutes from Grenoble, the Ecouges Canyon provides a fantastic opportunity to develop your canyoning and abseiling skills within a small, friendly group limited to four participants, all set in a truly impressive natural environment.
If you have the required level and physical fitness, don’t hesitate to choose this activity for your next canyoning adventure near Grenoble, in the heart of the Vercors!
