Glide on the emerald waters of the Ain River and let yourself be carried away by an unspoiled natural setting in the heart of the Jura. Departing from Mesnois, this canoeing and kayaking trip on the Ain ranges from 4 to 22 km depending on your pace, for outings of 2 to 6 hours on the water. Le Sauget, a historic anchor point of the Ain Valley, offers privileged access to winding stretches lined with imposing limestone cliffs and lush forests. As you navigate along the peaceful current, you will observe a rich wildlife where grey herons, kingfishers, and terns nesting along the banks cross paths. The adventure begins at the Les Magiciens d'Eau nautical base in Mesnois, where you are welcomed by a team of enthusiasts. A dedicated shuttle then takes you to the chosen launch point in Blye, Châtillon, or Pont de Navoy. Nice cruise. Passing the dam was a bit hard, especially since there is no strap to pull the canoe. There is only a handle on the nose so you'll need a strong back.
