Go on a bivouac hiking for 2 days and 1 night in the massif of Hautacam in the Pyrenees.
Bivouacking under the stars is the perfect opportunity to live an unforgettable experience!
What will you see and do?
The hike will start with the discovery of a wonderful mountain lake located in the very heart of an old glacial cirque, perfect place to spend the night! After an easy stroll, yu'oll set up the bivouac. Open your eyes and your ears and let the magic happen! You will then enjoy a nice local meal by the fire and listen to the guides who will tell you all there is to know about their fantastic region. After this friendly and convivial moment, time to sleep under the shining stars...
The next day, you will go even higher to admire a stunning view on the horizon and get closer to the majestuous raptors flying in the sky above your head. On the way back, you'll feel happy, rejuvenated with have only one thing in mind: let's do this again!
Course of events
Day 1
1.5 hour walk
Altitude: Lac of Isaby - 1558 meters
Difference in height: + 100 mètres
Day 2
3 hour walk
Altitude : Pic de Barran - 1982 meters
Difference in height: + 400 meters
The walking time can vary, we just want to give you a rough idea.

Thanks to its location, the massif of Hautacam offers an outstanding view on the Pyrenees mountain range and especially on the following famous summits: Pic du Midi de Bigorre, Vignemale, Balaitous, Cirque de Gavarnie and brèche de Roland...what a breathtaking panorama!
Scattered with mountain pastures, this place is a meeting point for sheeps, cows and horses who can graze in complete freedom. Here and there, you'll run into a shepherd's hut, a very basic habitat but so precious at such altitudes when the wind starts blowing and the rain starts falling... The wild and preserved massif of Hautacam is a mise en abyme of the wonderful Pyrenees!
