Activity requirements
All passengers embarking on board must be in good physical condition and have no medical contraindications for sea excursions.
Special terms
Pregnant women are accepted on board unless there is medical advice to the contrary.
People with reduced mobility are welcome on board but there is no standard access. It is therefore impossible to take a wheelchair on board. It is imperative to inform Explore Ocean of a disability BEFORE validating your reservation in order to assess the feasibility of boarding.
Children under 16 years of age may not board alone. They are under the responsibility of their legal guardian or accompanying person.
For minors between 16 and 18 years old, a contact will be requested before boarding.
Passengers are subject to the discipline of the ship under the authority of the Captain. As such, passengers must respect all regulations and instructions given by the Company, the Captain of the vessel or any member of the crew.

Meet the cetaceans during an expedition in the Bay of Biscay and experience an unforgettable moment from Hendaye!
The Bay of Biscay is an area extremely rich in biodiversity: many species of underwater mammals such as dolphins, sperm whales, whales and porpoises live there! Hendaye is therefore the ideal place to start an expedition to observe cetaceans in their natural environment. Get your camera ready, as this is not something you will have the chance to see every day!
To take part in this expedition to meet the cetaceans in the Bay of Biscay, you will board the catamaran Atalaya for a departure at 8:30 am. You will leave Hendaye and the safety instructions will be explained to you. Then, the naturalist guide will present you the biology of cetaceans and the clues to spot them. The cetaceans of the Bay of Biscay will soon hold no secrets for you! So keep your eyes open and report any sightings to others!
After an exciting day, you will be back at the port by 4pm and will leave with new knowledge, memories and probably some very nice photos.
