Practical information
Open to sporty beginners, this day's canyoning from Laruns invites you to explore two canyons with very contrasting atmospheres, interspersed with a picnic break facing the mountains.
- Walking, swimming, jumps up to 6m, slides, compulsory abseiling down waterfalls up to 13m.
- Moderate commitment: effort of up to 7 hours (approach + descent + return) + picnic break.
- 1 guide: 10 participants max.
Course of events
- Meeting point at the college car park (opposite the Locaski shop) in Laruns 64440
- Public toilets available on site
- Drive to the canyon chosen for the morning
- Equipment and safety briefing
- Access walk (approach + return) limited to 40 minutes
- Canyoning activity lasting approximately 2h15 to 2h30
- Picnic break in the sun, with a view of the mountains
- Departure for the afternoon canyoning activity
- Access walk (approach + return) limited to 40 minutes
- Canyoning activity lasting approximately 2h15 to 2h30
- Debriefing, return to the starting point and end of the activity
Activity requirements
You need to know how to swim and be in very good physical condition to take part in this activity.
You must bring your own vehicle to the meeting point. Transport to the canyon is not provided.
A minimum of 4 participants is required to take part.
Special terms
The different canyons available (depending on water level and weather conditions) are as follows:
- In May: Canceigt and Bious
- From June: Canceigt, Bious, Soussouéou, Brousset
The choice of canyon will depend on the conditions, any permits required, your wishes and your previous experience. As all these criteria are not always known in advance, it is not necessarily possible to determine the choice of canyon at the time of booking.
It is possible to rent special canyoning shoes in Laruns, at the Ossau 2884 shop (€5): book beforehand on 05.59.05.36.09.

Un moment inoubliable de canyoning qui cumule, beauté des lieux, aventure sportive, diversité du cadre (minéral, végétal et aquatique) encadré par Candice dont le professionnalisme et la connaissance du terrain nous a permis de vivre un après midi fantastique adapté à notre potentiel. Et en bonus de superbes photos. une expérience à vivre au moins une fois dans sa vie. Grand merci.
