Course of events
- Meet at 6 or 7 a.m. at the meeting point with the guide
- Brief explanation of the route
- Start of the day's hike with explanations of the history of the salt route
- Return to the starting point at around 8 p.m.
Activity requirements
You must have no medical contraindications to take part in this activity.
You must be in good physical condition to take part in this activity.
You need to be able to walk a whole day at an altitude of between 2,000 and 3,000 metres.

Accompanied by a guide who specialises in the region and mountain walks, you'll set off with her advice along one of the paths of the old salt trade route. You'll travel through the Alps and discover the history of this very special route.
This mountain hike in the province of Coni-Piémont in the Italian Alps is a fairly demanding one, where you'll be walking at altitudes of between 2,000 and 3,000 metres. Previous experience of long hikes at altitude is recommended. Your guide will be able to guide you and adapt the route to the level of each participant.
Enjoy a mountain hike from Entracque with a mix of the region's historical culture and the story of the salt route and its medieval paths.
