Cano-Raft Descent of the Giffre at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, Haute-Savoie

Setting off from the Nunayak base at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, you'll pass through various Haute-Savoie villages along the Giffre — Samoëns, Verchaix, and others — all the way to Taninges, depending on the route chosen.

On arrival, you'll meet the team's experienced guides, who will kit you out with all the necessary equipment (wetsuit, helmet, life jacket, and more). Following a thorough safety briefing covering paddling techniques, tandem synchronisation, and river safety, you'll put the boats in the water and set off on your cano-raft descent of the Giffre.

As cano-rafting at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval is a whitewater activity requiring a good level of physical fitness, those with no prior experience should opt for the Upper Giffre rafting descent instead.
