Ski touring offers a very simple way to access areas that would otherwise be impassable. You'll discover a new, untouched area while avoiding the busy off-piste skiing areas of Tiges.

This sport requires a great deal of mountain and terrain experience to be practiced safely. With your instructor Kev Herbert, you can learn and ski safely with his extensive knowledge of the area. You have three options:

- DayTours: A full day in the Tignes ski area, Espace Killy, with some passes or summits for the more experienced adventurer. Review of ski touring equipment and techniques, route selection advice, followed by a briefing on avalanche awareness and terrain safety.
- Specials: An opportunity to experience the mountains at night. Join Kev to find one of the most beautiful viewpoints, away from the noise and lights of the resort.
- Starters: A 3 hour session for beginner ski tourers. Introduction and use of sealskins. Walking, climbing and descending techniques. Introduction to route planning. Avalanche awareness and terrain safety.

The Espace Killy is a wonderful ski area with something for everyone and Tignes has been proclaimed the most sporting resort in the Alps. Some of the best off-piste itineraries are the valleys of the Sache, Mickey's Ears, the Telegraph, and the Chardonnay.
