Practical information
You are accompanied by a professional guide who leads you down the river. The goal is to follow him during the descent and to do just like him. You will stop regularly to learn surfing exercises and techniques!
The discovery itinerary is particularly suitable for all those who wish to discover white water sports. You will face the rapids, swim in an invigorating water and flirt with rocks.
Along 6km (about 1,5 hours), you will enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Valley and all its rapids (class III-IV).
Course of events
- Meeting at the base and presentations
- Equipment on site (changing rooms on site)
- Transport by minibus to the start (5min)
- Descent for 1,5 hours and return by bus that catches you at the end
Activity requirements
Children must be more than 1 meter 20.
All participants must know ho to swim.

Hydrospeed or whitewater swimming, is practiced with Crazy Water Rafting in Ubaye Valley. It is a sport of white water of total freedom where you navigate as you wish on Ubaye river, supervised by a certified guide that advises you on how to pass the different obstacles you encounter.
Hydrospeed is a recreational activity, more impressive than technical. You quickly reach a certain autonomy that will allow you to play with the currents of the Ubaye (surfing, tank, rock 360...).
Equipped with fins, an reinforced wetsuit and a foam float, you will go down the river on a course adapted to your level and your confidence!
