During the 5-hour descent that awaits you in the Ravine Chaude canyon, you'll be accompanied by Vert Intense's professional guides to get you past the obstacles safely, while having maximum fun! From the starting point of this activity, located in Saint-Claude, succumb to the beauty of the landscapes you'll be surveying for 5 hours... enjoy a superb course in the middle of the rainforest: a total of 5 abseils, the highest of which is some fifteen metres high! And that's not all: on the way down the Ravine Chaude canyon, you'll come across two jumps and a number of superb natural slides.

And don't forget: the Ravine Chaude canyon is accessible all year round, thanks in no small part to its lower flow than other canyons in Guadeloupe!

Practical information

A 5 hours canyoning trip in the Ravine Chaude river, south of Basse-Terre, with 5 abseils (the highest being 15 meters high), 2 jumps and a superb natural slide that can be done several times or avoided.

Approach walk: 45 minutes

Time to descend the canyon: 3 hours

Return walk: 15 minutes

Course of events

- Welcome at the Vert Intense office with a small coffee

- Distribution of the canyoning equipment: wetsuits, helmets, harnesses, shoes, waterproof backpacks, etc. (in general, the equipment is done at the same time)

- Departure for the Palmiste plateau by car, then start of the approach walk: 15 minutes to the Bassin Bleu, then another 30 minutes or so to reach the starting point of the Ravine Chaude canyon

- Equipment fitting, briefing and launch for about 3 hours

- First abseil a few minutes after the start of the descent, very easy to get into the bath with the help of the guide, then a sequence of 5 abseils, 2 slides, then a jump (the obstacles can always be bypassed)

- End of the canyon with a jump in the Blue Basin, then walk back to the vehicle where you will unpack

Nous avons passé un moment vraiment fabuleux lors de notre sortie canyoning avec Vert Intense. Cette expérience unique et originale nous a permis de découvrir une autre Guadeloupe qui n’est malheureusement pas accessible à tout le monde si on n’est pas rôdé à cette activité. Et franchement, cette Guadeloupe-là est à couper le souffle : longer la rivière, découvrir ses nombreuses petites cacades et ses petits bassins sous la forêt tropicale, c’est magique ! Xavier notre guide, très professionnel, cool et super sympa nous a permis de découvrir cette incroyable facette de la Guadeloupe dans la bonne humeur et surtout, en toute sécurité ! Pas de pression, chacun y va à son rythme, on prend le temps de savourer chaque étape et pour ma part, de prendre tout un tas de photos pour immortaliser toute cette autre beauté absolument fascinante ! Pour les moins « aventureux » comme moi, si vous n’êtes là que pour en prendre plein les yeux et que vous ne cherchez pas les « sensations fortes » sachez que tous les sauts et toboggans sont évitables !

Je dirais que c'est pas du tout facile et il faut être en forme physiquement. Aussi je pense ça sera dur pour les gens qui ont peur de l'altitude. Sinon comme une première expérience, c'était extraordinaire pour moi et je suis plus que satisfaite ❤️❤️
