Wouldn't you like to go on a tour that features Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth? Then come and visit the Snæfellsnes Peninsula!

If this private tour will not take you to the centre of the Earth, you will most certainly go to the centre of the 90 km long Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
You will start your tour with the fishing villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar, home to amazing rock formations, from where you can admire Iceland's most famous volcano, the Snæfellsjökull. On to the Vatnshellir lava cave which is a lava tube formed in an eruption in a nearby crater Purkhóla, in an 8000-year lava field. You will then stop at Djúpalónssandur black beach, a bay at the tip of Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The black small pebbles on the beach have been smoothed by the ocean waves, and amongst them are scattered rusty parts of a ship wreckage that was stranded in the area in 1948. Get your camera ready to snap some amazing shots in this otherworldly setting.
Next up are the Lóndrangar cliffs, volcanic plugs of basalt, at 75 and 61 meters in height formed by erosion of the surrounding material.
The day will end with a visit to Kirkjufell and Kirkjufell waterfall, on the northern side of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Fun fact, in case you needed another reason to visit this beautiful spot in Iceland: Kirkjufell was chosen to be one of the filming locations for Game of Thrones, featuring as the “Arrowhead Mountain”.
