Leave the passports back at base camp and navigate the ancient mountain pass of Vallée Blanche from Italy to France on this two-nation backcountry adventure.

Geared to the action nomad looking to venture from the safety of the slopes - traversing avalanche-prone glacial valleys and nosebleed highs, the Vallée Blanche is a playground for backcountry skiers with a 'no way back' philosophy to riding - travelling from the peak of Punta Helbronner through the Mer de Glace and finishing with a well-earnt vin chaud in neighbouring Chamonix.

Location
A popular off-piste ski route, Vallée Blanche is situated between Courmayeur and Chamonix ski resorts. Accessed via the Aiguille du Midi cable car, the 20km route is a vertical descent of 2700m and requires a full Mont Blanc Unlimited ski pass covering the Aiguille du Midi lift.

Activity
An unmarked, unmaintained and unpatrolled high mountain off-piste ski itinerary which offers some of the most spectacular scenery that the Mont Blanc range has to offer. The Vallée Blanche excursion is a 20 km full day itinerary suited to experienced and advanced skiers. Travelling from Punta Helbronner at an altitude of 3400m, groups will traverse the Mer de Glace glacier - stopping for lunch before finishing the tour in Chamonix (snow conditions permitting), where a bus will transfer guests back to Courmayeur.

Conditions
Operating between December and May, all itineraries cover un-pisted terrain with rocks, cliffs, cornices, avalanches and changing snow conditions factors to acknowledge.
