Canoeing excursion on the Tamarin River in Mauritius

• Welcome and briefing (15 min): Meet your guide at Tamarin Bay, where the river meets the ocean. After a brief safety briefing and an introduction to your kayak, get ready to set off on your adventure.
• Paddle upstream (45 min): Leave the waves behind and glide through calm waters. As you paddle gently upstream, you'll enjoy the serenity of the river and watch the local fishermen at work along the banks.
• Discover the two arms of the river (1h): On one side, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Rempart and Trois Mamelles mountains. On the other, admire the impressive Tourelle. Along the way, you can spot moorhens, ducks, long-billed birds, flying foxes and even monkeys.
• Return downstream (30 mins): Return downstream at a relaxed pace, surrounded by peaceful nature and mountain scenery, until you reach the bay again.
• Wrap-up (5-10 mins): Return to the starting point, where your guide will help you out of the kayaks and share a few last bits of information and anecdotes about the region.

All participants must be able to swim to take part in this activity.

The maximum weight for taking part in this activity is 100 kg (or a combined weight of less than 200 kg for 2 participants sharing a double kayak, as the maximum weight capacity is 200 kg).

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

A minimum of 3 participants is required for this outing.

This activity is not suitable for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility or people with serious back or neck problems.

The guide reserves the right to change the itinerary if weather conditions so require.

Sightings of wild animals are common but are not guaranteed.
