Practical information
For this half day activity, you will reach the spot within 15 minutes by car and will need to walk for 40 minutes to reach the beginning of the routes.
You will warm up and follow a briefing before you equip and begin the climb as 2nd climber. After the first routes, if you're comfortable, you can try to climb in the lead.
Pause for a snack on a suspended ledge from where you can observe the canyoners in Fleur Jaune. From the top, you can reach the car within 5 minutes.
The whole activity will last around 6 hours in total.
Objectives
The objectives are set according to your level. You will see all aspects of multi pitch climbing:
- Analyse basaltic routes,
- Ropes techniques,
- Possibly climbing in the lead, etc.

Compact and sculpted basalt exists! Romain will take you to discover the many multi pitch climbing routes of Piton de Sucre in the heart of the Cirque de Cilaos to see it.
On these unique climbing routes on the island of Réunion, you will overlook the famous canyon of Fleur Jaune in a wild and aquatic environment which will leave you speechless! The outing is obviously quite vertical, of course, with the sun heating up your back while you climb. Remember to look around you to see stunning views of the Piton des Neiges and the Bras Rouge Valley, it's magical!
The difficulty can be tailored to the groups, it varies between 4C and tough 5A (intermediate level to advanced). The routes are relatively long, between 150 and 250m, but each of them is worth it!
Climbing enthusiasts are sure to find happiness on these magnificent cliffs of the Cirque de Cilaos, in Réunion Island!
