How to create your prices and seasons on Manawa?

Published on 27/02/2026 by Vincent Pinto.

Do you want to update your rates for the new season or adjust your time slots? This technical guide explains how to manage your Seasons, your Pricing categories, and your Price list independently from your back office.

API Connection: If your prices and seasons are synchronized via booking software (list of connected software here), you don’t need to do anything: everything is managed directly by your software.

The 3 pillars of your calendar

To make your activity bookable, the system relies on three interconnected elements:

  1. The Seasons & starting times (periods, days, and schedules).
  2. Pricing categories (Adults, Children, Private groups, etc.).
  3. The Price list (the cross-referenced rate between the season and the category).

1. Setting up your Seasons & starting times

This section defines when the activity is available and at what times.

  • Access: In your back office, go to the activity and find the "Seasons & starting times" section, then click "Edit".
  • Add/Copy: You can create a new season by clicking "Add a new season" or duplicate an existing one to save time.
  • Settings:
    • Name: Internal label (e.g., "Spring", "Summer").
    • Dates: The specific period (e.g., "1 Apr" to "30 Jun").
    • Starting times: Define your departure hours.
    • Pro Tip: As seen in the screenshots, if your times differ (e.g., adding a 09:30 slot only on weekends), the system will display them clearly for each day.

2. Defining your Pricing categories

This is where you determine who is booking and under what conditions.

  • Unit Types: You can select categories such as "Adults", "Children", "Teenagers", or "Private groups".
  • Age Limits: Enter the age range (e.g., "12-17 years old") to avoid booking errors.
  • Quantities (qty): * Set the capacity for each category (e.g., "up to 25").
    • Keep the minimum at 1 to ensure individual bookings remain possible.
  • Price per unit vs. Fixed price:
    • Price per unit: The price is multiplied by the number of participants (e.g., Adults).
    • Fixed price: A flat rate for the entire group, regardless of the number of people (e.g., Private groups).

3. Filling in the Price list

This is the final step where you input your rates into the grid generated by your seasons and categories.

Rate Parity: According to our contract, your prices on Manawa must be identical to your direct prices. This is essential for customer trust and the brand image of your business.
  • Completeness: All boxes must be filled. For example, if you have 3 seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn) and 4 categories, you must fill in all 12 price boxes.
  • Quantity-based price: Click on "use quantity-based price" below the category name to define reduced rates for larger groups (e.g., a lower price starting from the 3rd participant).
  • Planning Ahead: New prices will indicate the date they become valid (e.g., "New prices valid from 28/02/2026").

Final Verification

Once your changes are saved:

  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. Click "View" next to your activity.
  3. Test adding the activity to the cart as if you were a customer to verify that the price and schedule appear correctly.

Note: The "starting from" price on search result pages may take a few days to update due to cache, but the rate in the booking tunnel is updated instantly.
