Sailing Introduction Course in the Alcudia Bay, Northeastern Majorca

Become a sailor of the seas in Mallorca with this course in which you will learn, both theoretically and practically, how to sail a catamaran in the Bay of Alcudia. You will get to know the Hobie 16, a boat in which you will learn everything you need to know, from tacking to gybing and sailing in all courses.

No previous knowledge? No problem. Anyone interested in sailing, and over 12 years old, can participate, learn, and even captain the Hobie 16, always accompanied by an expert instructor who will guide you at all times. All participants will have time to practise during the session. Each course is limited to a maximum of two students per catamaran, accompanied by one instructor. The catamaran can accommodate up to three people (two students and one instructor), and we have a total of three catamarans available. If you are more than two people, you will be split between multiple boats, each with a separate instructor.

Please choose between 1, 2, or 5 days of classes, with each session lasting 2 hours. Every session begins at the meeting point where you will meet your instructor and receive all necessary equipment. After a short safety briefing, you will start with a 20-minute theoretical introduction to get familiar with the Hobie 16 catamaran. You’ll then head out into the waters of Alcudia Bay to practise everything you've learned, including rigging the boat, trimming the sails, and steering the rudder. The session ends when you return to the shore.

The activity includes everything you need, from lifejacket and harness to a rescue boat in case of emergency, plus access to lockers and changing rooms where you can store your belongings or freshen up after the class.
