About the activity

The Bay of Alcudia, in the north of Mallorca, is one of the island’s top destinations for water sports, along with the Bay of Palma. Its white sandy beaches make access easy, and the gentle winds offer ideal conditions for both beginners and those looking to improve their skills. While Alcudia Bay is one of the best-known in Mallorca, it still hides some more secluded spots, like Alcanada Island, perfect for those looking to escape the crowds.

Wind Pirates instructors will take you to discover this secret beach on a guided stand up paddle tour to Alcanada Island.

You'll receive your paddle board, paddle and life jacket, followed by a safety briefing and an introduction to basic paddle surfing techniques. Once ready, you'll begin your excursion across the bay towards the Aucanada Lighthouse, where you'll make a first stop to rest, explore the beach, and even snorkel if you wish, as snorkelling equipment is included in the activity.

The tour continues to the small cove of Es Faralló, located near the exit of an old Civil War bunker. Depending on the group’s rhythm and energy, the guide will make other stops along the way and adapt the pace accordingly. Breaks are included throughout the route. You won’t be paddling non-stop, as there are moments to relax, enjoy the scenery, and learn about the local environment.

While stand up paddleboarding is relatively accessible, some previous experience is recommended. This is a 2.5-hour sea excursion that requires balance, stamina, and upper body strength, which is why the minimum age is 12 years old. Each group is limited to a maximum of 8 participants per instructor, but larger groups can be accommodated with additional guides.

Enjoy one of the most fun and complete water sports while discovering the natural beauty of Alcudia Bay with this guided stand up paddle tour to Alcanada Island.
