The Mont-Catherine via ferrata is a specially designed route set along a rocky cliff face, equipped with metal rungs and a steel cable to make your progression easier and your experience safer. If you already enjoy hiking and feel comfortable with heights, this activity is ideal for you. For your safety, you will be secured to a continuous lifeline using a special carabiner that never needs to be unclipped as you move from one section of cable to the next.
Your winter adventure begins with a 450-metre walk to the base of the cliff. Before you start your ascent, the certified guides accompanying you will provide all the necessary instructions to ensure your experience runs smoothly. Your guide will then attach you to the continuous lifeline—the starting point of a climb that rises up to 60 metres, the height of a 20-storey building!
Throughout the route, you will make your way across metal holds and footholds, traverse wooden beams and various types of bridges, all while taking in spectacular views over the Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts area. Once at the summit, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking winter landscapes of the Laurentians before beginning a 700-metre descent back towards the welcome chalet, safely and confidently, even in snowy conditions, thanks to the crampons provided by the team.
Let yourself be tempted by this unique winter experience in the Laurentians—book your place on the Mont-Catherine via ferrata today!
