Everyone's heard of hiking and zip-lining... but a via ferrata is a hike up a rock face: equipped with a harness, you'll move along metal holds, with a steel cable to ease your progress and increase your safety tenfold!

So, whether you opt for the Discovery or the Discovery Plus, here's the programme for the via ferrata and zip line on Mont Catherine:

First, you'll walk 450 metres to the foot of the cliff, and from there you'll attach yourself to the continuous lifeline and embark on a 60-metre-high via ferrata... the equivalent of a 20-storey building. Adventurous friends, all along the way you'll be moving around on iron steps and rungs! Then you'll cross wooden beams and different types of bridges to give you a dizzying sensation as you climb. Finally, at the top, you'll be able to contemplate the incredible view of the Laurentian landscape and the Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts region.

Of course, the rest of your activity depends on the option you choose. The Discovery option takes you on 2 mega zip lines, the longest of which is 900 metres high at 115 metres. The Discovery Plus option allows you to link up 4 mega zip lines to fly almost 2.5 kilometres over the Laurentians before reaching Cap Beauséjour and the Tyroparc base.
