Bubblemaker Scuba Diving Experience around Georgioupolis, near Rethymno

You should plan to spend half a day (approximately 4 hours) to enjoy this activity:

• Arrival at the meeting point and introduction to your instructor
• Paperwork and liability releases
• Scuba diving basics theory lesson
• Equipment preparation and distribution
• Start of your 45-minute dive from the shore of Platanes Beach up to 2 meters deep
• Return to the meeting point
• Equipment return
• Debriefing with your instructor and end of the activity

1. Introduction to Scuba Diving:
   • The primary objective of the Bubblemaker program is to introduce children to the basic concepts and sensations of scuba diving in a safe and controlled environment.

2. Experience Underwater Breathing:

• Participants get the opportunity to experience breathing underwater using scuba equipment, including a regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), and tank.

3. Basic Skills Instruction:

• Participants receive basic instruction on essential scuba diving skills, such as clearing the mask, recovering the regulator, and equalizing ear pressure.

4. Supervised Dive Experience:

• Under the direct supervision of a certified diving instructor, participants engage in a shallow water dive (typically in a pool or confined water environment) to practice the skills learned and experience the underwater environment.

5. Introduction to Equipment:

• Participants learn about scuba diving equipment, including how it works, how to assemble and disassemble it, and how to perform basic equipment checks.

6. Safety Briefing:

• Participants receive a comprehensive safety briefing that covers basic diving safety rules, emergency procedures, and communication signals.

7. Underwater Exploration:

• Participants have the opportunity to explore the underwater environment, observe marine life (if applicable), and experience the sensation of weightlessness underwater.

All participants must be between the ages of 8 and 10.

All participants must have basic swimming skills to take part in this activity.

Written parental authorisation is required to participate in this activity.

To participate in this activity, you must not have any of the following contraindications: respiratory problems (exertional asthma), heart problems, ENT problems, lung problems, diabetes, or epilepsy. If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to contact us or ask for medical advice.

The activity could take place either in Georgioupolis or in Rethymno, depending on the weather conditions.
