Course of events

- Receive safety briefing and snowshoe equipment (snowshoes, poles and gaiters)
- Drive to the Pallas-Ylästunturi National Park in a van (approximately 45 minutes)
- Hike through the pristine Arctic wilderness (approximately 1 hour)
- Break for lunch in a closed hut around a campfire (approximately 1 hour): Grilled Sausages (vegetarian option available), Karelian pies, Cinnamon rolls, tea, coffee, berry juice are available for lunch.
- Hike through the park (approximately 1 hour)
- Return to the starting point in Levi by van (approximately 45 minutes)
Activity requirements
No special skills are needed to take part in this activity. If you can walk confidently and have good balance, you can snowshoe.
Special terms
Arctic winter clothing and shoes are available to rent for an additional €22 fee. Please contact your instructor directly to arrange.
Please note that the duration and itinerary of the activity are weather-dependent.
Toilets are available at the starting point of the hike and at the lunch stop.
