Free Wi-Fi and the Northern Lights alarm system (Aurora Alert Realtime) are available at the igloo basecamp.
The temperature inside the igloos is always below 0°C. There is a risk of frostbite, and all guests must ensure they remain inside their winter sleeping bags throughout the night.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant or disabled people.

Book a night out in the incredible landscapes of Finnish Lapland on this overnight snow igloo adventure in Pyhäjärvi! Every year, in December, the experts at Lucky Ranch take advantage of the heavy snow to create beautiful, unique igloos out of the snow, to allow clients the experience of sleeping in an authentic Finnish igloo. Located right next to Pyhä-Luosto National Park, in the heart of Finland, Pyhäjärvi is a small town that boasts peaceful Arctic Landscapes and diverse winter activities.
On the day of your overnight snow igloo adventure in Pyhäjärvi, you'll need to arrive at the meeting point in the Lucky Ranch Saloon, where you'll wait for an instructor to greet you and check you in. Once the formalities are done, you'll be led to your own, authentic snow igloo! You'll get to spend some time inside this wonderful construction, and your instructor will tell you exactly what to do to spend a good, warm, and safe night inside it.
Once you're settled, they'll leave you to it! This activity works as a night at a hotel, so you'll have time to walk around the grounds, sit in the igloo with your loved ones, or head to the basecamp, which is a warm apartment that you will share with other guests. There, you'll find the toilet and shower (the igloos don't have any), some light snacks available for purchase, and if you're too cold during the night, there will be available beds and sofas where you'll be able to sleep if needed. The igloos have electricity, wi-fi, and even a Northern Lights alarm, so if they appear above the camp, you'll be alerted and decide if you want to leave the igloo to see them (but your instructor can't guarantee that they will).
There are a few things to keep in mind when you book this overnight snow igloo adventure in Pyhäjärvi. The first is that the temperature inside the igloo is always under 0 degrees Celsius, so you need to carefully follow the guide's instructions to keep warm and safe during the night to avoid frostbite. With this in mind, you should come prepared with thermal or wool layers, a good sweater, wool socks, snow boots, a hat, a scarf or neckwarmer, a wind and waterproof jacket, and anything else you might need, including food for the night, since dinner is not included in the price of the activity. Second, the igloos don't have toilets or showers; they will only be available at the basecamp. Third, you can't charge your electronics through the night, since it is a fire hazard. Finally, if you decide to sleep in the basecamp, the accommodations will be shared with any other guests who make the same decision.
Take your chance to experience the Arctic night like never before and enjoy a rustic, fun, and out-of-the-ordinary stay in Finnish Lapland. Book your overnight snow igloo adventure in Pyhäjärvi today!
