Course of events

Activity requirements
Each driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old with a valid physical B driver’s license that needs to be with you during the safari, a photo, copy or digital version is not suitable. The driver’s license must be written in the latin alphabet, or be accompanied by an official translation into English. Children and clients without driver’s licenses are traveling in the sleigh pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. The average speed on the tours is limited by regulations set in traffic law.
Participants under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to take part in this activity.
Self-liability: The driver of the vehicle is held liable for damages caused to the vehicle. This self-risk amount is a flat rate of EUR 900 per driver / snowmobile / accident case, without exception or regard to the extent of the damage. We cannot accept any liability for personal injury or material damage arising out of an accident during any other excursions which do not involve snowmobiling. Personal travel insurance is highly recommended. The self liability flat rate can be reduced to 200 € per driver / accident case by purchasing a self liability waiver from Wild Nordic for 20 € / driver for the shorter (1-4 hour) safaris.
In addition, all children (ages 4-14) are pulled in a sleigh behind the snowmobile. If children above 1,40 cm (4'5") wish to sit on the snowmobile, they must be booked as adults. All the snowmobiles are 2-seated and drivers can swap during the tour.

One of the most famous attractions in Rovaniemi is the Santa Claus Village. This Christmas-themed park is located just north of the city and is known as the "Official Hometown of Santa Claus." Visitors can meet Santa Claus year-round, send postcards with an official Arctic Circle postmark, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
In the company of an experienced guide, you and your group (a maximum of 18 participants) will discover the magic of the Arctic Circle and its picturesque forests, located outside of the city of Rovaniemi. Please note that children aged 4-14 are pulled in a sledge behind the snowmobiles. In addition, the total time spent on a snowmobile is 40 minutes- 1 hour.
Your Arctic adventure begins at one of the listed meeting points in Rovaniemi, you can choose between meeting at the departure point or being picked up at one of the listed locations. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your experienced guide who will provide a safety briefing along with an introduction to snowmobiling. With your thermal gear and helmet on, the fun starts! You'll set out into the beautiful winter landscape surrounding Santa's Village at a slower pace, admiring the stunning snow-capped forests of Finnish Lapland. Along the way, your guide will make stops so that you and your family can play in the snow and take photos.
In the second part of the snowmobiling tour, the children will drive mini snowmobiles in a safe and enclosed area, earning their very own 'mini snowmobile driving license'. Then, you'll be treated to delicious campfire snacks which include sausages and marshmallows, accompanied by warm berry juice. You'll head back to the original departure point in Rovaniemi and can choose between being dropped off or heading straight to Santa's Village.
