Practical information
Course of events
- You will meet at the car park, where you will find your guide waiting for you
- You will then make your way to the canyon via car – the journey is (approx.) 20 minutes
- Once you arrive at the foot of the canyon you will be geared up with all necessary equipment
- It will take you an hour to walk to the starting point, where you will be given a briefing about the security regulations, correct positions etc.
- 4 - 5 hours to descend the canyon
- 15 minutes to make your way back
Objectives
- Learn how to become completely autonomous
- Learn how to reassure yourself so you can avoid dangerous situations
Activity requirements
All participants must be in good physical condition and know how to swim.
Special terms
Once you have booked the activity you must let your guide know what your height and weight are so he can organise the correct equipment.

Come and discover the sporty canyon of Cau et Coeur near Bagnères-de-Luchon during a sensational canyoning trip!
Passion Montagne offers an outing suitable for experienced canyoneers. The Cau et Coeur canyon is reserved for sportsmen who have already practised canyoning, especially in summer, and who have mastered abseiling perfectly. The descents are difficult and physically demanding because of the many technical difficulties.
The descent is made up of numerous abseils, some of which are over 50 metres long, and impressive aerial passages. The itinerary is progressive as you will start with a passage without any difficulties before a short abseil (15-20m) and then a more substantial one; walking and swimming will help to calm down the rhythm. Expect a high intensity with a 55m abseil before the last one!
