Do you want to learn canyoning even in the middle of winter? Book half of your day with Echos Pyrenees and discover the hot water canyon of Thuès in the Pyrenees!
Your guide Norbert Aumasson "opened" the first descent of sulphurous waterfalls with a friend more than 25 years ago.
The hot spring canyon of Thuès-Entre-Valls includes several abseils, slides, and handrails using safety lanyards. The best part of this original descent lies in the temperature of the water coming from the depths of the lithosphere which, according to the resurgent sources, oscillates between 35°C (95°F) and 60°C (140°F)!
This canyoning trip is unique in Europe and is possible all year, and even more magical to practice in winter!
Activity program:
• Transportation to the canyon by car
• Distribution of the equipment (cuissard, neoprene suit and socks, bag, ropes and helmet)
• Approach walk (20 minutes)
• Equipment of the participants and safety briefing
• Canyon descent (approx. 2.5 hours)
• Taking off the equipment and return to the vehicles
