About the activity

This PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience from Pounda, in Paros, is designed specifically for beginners and is both easy and fun. The adventure begins after meeting your certified instructor at the diving centre. Then, you will board a 14-meter (46-foot) traditional Greek boat with an experienced Captain at the helm. On board, you will start the day with an introduction to scuba diving theory and scuba diving equipment. Once the boat is anchored in a quiet area, all participants will put their gear on, which will include a wetsuit, fins, mask, tank, regulator, buoyancy compensator, and snorkel, and head into shallow water in order to learn how to breathe underwater.

Confident in your newfound skills and in the company of your certified instructor, you'll navigate the underwater world with ease and observe octopuses, barracudas, and various types of fish. You will reach a maximum depth of 12 meters (39 feet) in a 30 to 45-minute dive. The waters are crystal-clear and offer amazing visibility. Taking a well-deserved break with fresh fruit and water, you'll also have time to swim and snorkel, as well as enjoy the magnificent scenery of Paros on the boat tour! Wpuld definitely go again,specially with the instructors we had up with little to no ability in diving, left with more confidence by the very experienced and kind diving instructors. The instructions prior to getting into the water where clear,easy to follow and made nerves ease as they where concise to answer any questions we might habe hide all while showing us tips and tricks in prder to make pur experience the best it possibly could be.

I had a fantastic boat excursion with two dives. The staff was experienced and very friendly, and the dives were great. The equipment was well-maintained. It's definitely worth a visit!

We didn’t see much and we didn’t go really far from the boat. It was a bit frustrating to see everyone go for a second round while we waited on the boat. Maybe it would be better to separate the two groups (beginners and advanced divers). I think that way, the staff would also be less stressed.
