Located on the western coast of the island, the Réunion Marine Nature Reserve stretches from Cap la Houssaye to Pointe de l'Étang Salé across more than 3,500 hectares. A haven of biodiversity, the reserve is home to an exceptional array of marine life: several species of rays, crustaceans, molluscs, as well as turtles and a wide variety of corals. Undoubtedly one of the finest scuba diving destinations in the world, it is home to the famous Passe de l'Ermitage site — ideal for spotting sea turtles — the Sec Jaune spot, widely celebrated for its vivid and colourful marine life, and the Antonio Lorenzo, an impressive wreck accessible to experienced divers only.
If you're a certified diver visiting Réunion, this exploration dive in the Marine Nature Reserve is simply not to be missed. Specially designed to let you discover not one but two different dive sites in a single half-day, this experience offers a wonderful insight into the underwater world of Réunion. Everything is taken care of to ensure you have a great time: your guide will provide quality diving equipment, take you to the various dive sites, and help you choose the spots best suited to your preferences and level.
Following a thorough briefing by the state-qualified instructors at Plongée Péi — covering the dive plan, the underwater environment, equipment, and safety — you'll board a rigid inflatable boat and head out towards the crystal-clear waters of the coral reefs of Saint-Paul Bay. On arrival at the first site, you'll complete your initial dive before returning to the boat for a well-earned snack. You'll then head out for a second dive in water at a balmy 26 degrees, soaking up the unique underwater landscapes of western Réunion.
Come and enjoy an unforgettable experience amongst the coral reefs of the Réunion Marine Nature Reserve on this exploration diving excursion departing from Le Port!
